I am a Georgian artist whose original style of modernistic impressionism has pioneered a new movement within Georgian art from classical European impressionism and fusing it with local textures, symbolism, and cultural themes, I have developed a distinct painterly language defined by expressive brushwork, luminous color palettes, and sculptural texture. At the heart of my practice lies a commitment to emotional depth and visual rhythm. My works are instantly recognizable by their textured, impasto surfaces and layered color fields that suggest both physical landscape and inner atmosphere. Departing from traditional Georgian and European schools, I developed a technique that blends spontaneity with structural clarity—creating compositions that appear both fluid and composed. Each canvas becomes a dialogue between memory, light, and form, evoking a deeply personal yet universally resonant visual experience. This style—rooted in place yet open to global interpretation—has defined me as a singular voice in contemporary impressionist painting. Over the course of my career, I have received numerous national and international honors, including the Medal of Honor of Georgia (2012), one of the country’s highest civilian awards. In Ukraine they gave me the “Best Artist certificate “at the International Plein Air in Ukraine (2018) and received the Order for the Development of Ukraine considering my contribution, the same year. My artworks are in Spain,Italy, Malta, and Ukraine, and include awards from both state institutions and cultural orders. My work has been exhibited across Europe, the United States, and Asia, with highlights including ArtExpo New York.Exhibitions in Venice, Milan, and London. My paintings are part of private collections in over 12 countries. Beyond my painting practice, I am a member of the Union of Artists of Georgia and an academician at the International Academy of Culture and Arts (IACA Malta), where I serve as Head of the Art Department. I am also the designer of the official coat of arms and flag of the Sagarejo Municipality. Currently, I am expanding my practice to the United States, preparing new artwork while establishing deeper connections with American galleries, collectors, and cultural institutions. My artistic mission is rooted in cross-cultural dialogue, visual innovation, and the belief that art can serve as a bridge between nations, histories, and communities.
